Minister Mariana Vieira da Silva has been confirmed as head of the Socialist Party (PS) list by the Lisbon Circle, in accordance with the proposal of Secretary General Pedro Nuno Santos. In second place is MP Marcos Perestrello. They are followed by Minister Fernando Medina and former Governor Marta Temido.
Other nominated names include deputies Pedro Delgado Alves (5th place) and Sérgio Sousa Pinto (6th place), parliament vice-president Edite Estrela (7th place) and parliamentarians Miguel Cabrita (8th place) and Miguel Matos (9th place).
The PS National Political Commission meets on Tuesday evening to approve the final version of the party’s lists of parliamentary candidates for the March 10 snap legislative elections.
