A 35-year-old motorcyclist died early this Sunday in an accident in the parish of Couto in Barcelos, where he lived. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the State Police.
The accident happened shortly after 1am this Sunday in Couto Parish.
It is reported that Thiago Jorge Duarte lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a wall after skidding. He was rescued at the scene by a Red Cross team and suffered a cardiopulmonary arrest while being transported to hospital in the Arcozelo parish of Barcelos.
The rescue team sought help from the VMER medical team of the Barcelos Hospital and, despite resuscitation measures, the 35-year-old man did not survive.
The body was taken at 3:40 a.m. by Barcelinhos firefighters to the morgue of the Barcelos hospital.
