Two men and a woman were detained by the PNP this Sunday morning after a chase in Entre os Rios, municipality of Penafiel. The trio were driving a stolen car when the military ordered them to stop, but they did not comply and collided with a garda vehicle.
They tried to escape through the hilly terrain, but the driver lost control and fell into a small ravine. While one of the men and a woman remained in the car, the driver tried to escape on foot, but was stopped by the military.
Entre us Rios firefighters were called to the scene after some soldiers were injured during the foot pursuit.
The detainees are between 25 and 30 years old. They were taken to the PNP post in Termas de San Vicente, where they will be detained until they appear before a judge.
