This year, the Lisbon City Council will begin to support the purchase of graphing calculators for 10th grade students in the public education network, investing 545,500 euros, the municipality announced this Monday.
“After purchasing the calculators, guardians can be reimbursed an amount of €100 per student,” the Lisbon City Council (CML) said, explaining that proof of purchase must be presented.
The decision to support the purchase of graphing calculators for 10th grade students was made in July 2023 following a proposal by the Bloco de Esquerda (BE), which was unanimously approved by the municipal executive chaired by Carlos Moedas (PSD), who governs without an absolute majority.
