A meeting of TCF workers this Friday discussed “the possibility of suspending employment contracts” if wages are not paid on time, which was “open and welcomed.”
This information is contained in a statement by the Working Committee (CT) of Global Media Radio (GMG), which took place this Friday at 12 noon in person and online, to which Lusa had access.
“Given the uncertain situation with the payment of wages, the meeting of workers discussed the possibility of suspending employment contracts if payment is not made on time,” the statement said.
“If the situation continues, this is an opportunity that is open and welcomed by the workers,” and “in the same sense, the suspension of individual payments for work is also open, since the delay in these payments is already at least three months.”
At the meeting, an assessment was made of the work done by the central heating center since the last assembly.
“The radio situation was widely discussed, but special attention was paid to employment contracts and professional internships that were not renewed by the company, causing serious damage and disruption to the functioning of TSF,” says CT.
The workers “argue that these specialists are vital to ensure the continuous operation of the radio, which was obvious even in previous messages from the editors and the working committee,” CT emphasizes.
Another concern expressed by workers relates to the TSF website and the limitations that have arisen “since the transition from the old to the new website”, where there are “very serious problems in the operation and availability of content – new and old – to the public.”
Something about which both the CT and the editors made several warnings, but from which they did not receive “specific answers about when the situation will be resolved.”
The meeting “also expressed praise for Global Media Group employees who have made themselves available to perform functions other than those assigned to them, namely in the human resources department.”
In this case, CT identifies “people who have made themselves available for the work of processing wages so that when a pay order is issued, workers can effectively receive what is due to them for work performed.”
