Two men, aged 43 and 45, were placed in pre-trial detention after being detained this Friday by the judicial police in Vila Nova de Gaia on suspicion of trafficking in drugs such as cocaine, amphetamines and cannabis.
In a statement, the Judicial Police (SP) specified that the two men were detained as a result of an operation launched by the Northern Directorate.
The operation was part of a “long-term investigation” targeting two suspects who “supplied a huge number of individuals in the northern part of the country.”
During the action, several psychotropic substances, money, a car, mobile phones and other material evidence were seized.
Two defendants, 43 and 45 years old, were present at the preliminary judicial interrogation and were placed in a pre-trial detention center.
