Two women, mother and daughter, were left homeless this Monday after a fire in their house in Alfundão, in the municipality of Ferreira do Alentejo (Beja), sources in the Civil Protection and the GNR told the Lusa agency.
A source from the Subregional Command for Emergency Situations and Civil Protection of Baixo Alentejo said the alarm about the fire, which occurred on Rua da Estalagem, was issued at 19:34.
At 21:16 it was reported that the fire was contained, “the house remained uninhabitable,” a source in the sub-regional command said.
“People will be moved to family homes,” a source in the PPR said, adding that the judicial police had been contacted to investigate the fire.
29 firefighters from Ferreira do Alentejo, GNR and E-Redes, supported by 12 vehicles, were mobilized to the scene.
