Sporting became the first team to reach the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup after beating União Leiria 3-0 in the quarter-finals.
In Leiria, in a match with a team playing in the II League, the Lions scored thanks to Swedish striker Victor Gyokeres in the 32nd and 74th minutes and midfielder Pedro Goncalves in the 37th.
Sporting, who have already won the competition 17 times, the last of which was in the 2018/19 season, will face the winner of the match between Vizela and Benfica on Thursday in a two-legged semi-final.
