A presidency minister this Thursday downplayed the SDP’s pre-PS poll, emphasizing that the time has come to execute the program and that this is what the government is focused on.
“We are approaching the day when we celebrate the year of the last elections, and the very clear signal that the Portuguese gave a year ago in this election was a signal of political stability and the relevance of the program that we presented and are developing,” he told Mariana Vieira da Silva , which answered journalists’ questions about the CNN Portugal poll in which PSD is ahead of PS.
The Minister stressed that the Government is focused on the implementation of the PS program, which went to the elections.
“Now it’s time to execute the program, and this is what we are doing,” the minister stressed, addressing the Council of Ministers, held in Castelo Branco, as part of the “Closer Government” initiative, which takes place between Wednesday-Fair and Thursday.
The initiative started in Bragança in 2020 and was interrupted by the pandemic, and is now resuming in Castelo Branco, where more than 40 initiatives were implemented in two days, involving various executives, namely Prime Minister António Costa.
According to Mariana Vieira da Silva, this initiative will continue over the next few months and with “great regularity”, aiming in close proximity to local agents to respond to community concerns and accelerate the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). and EU funds.
With the Council of Ministers meeting this Thursday in Castelo Branco, special attention will be paid to issues such as forests and public funds.
