Ventura denies any connection to the survey investigated by the ERC.

This Friday, President Chegi denied any connection with a study on electoral trends in Portugal published in Brazil and reproduced in a party newspaper, prompting the ERC to launch an investigation.

The issue is that the Brazilian company that published the survey was not registered with the Social Communications Regulatory Authority (ERC).

Chega had nothing to do with the polling company, which links the party to PS and AD, according to Andre Ventura, adding that she only shared news that was “circulated in the Brazilian press.”

“The ERC, if it is dissatisfied with Chega and stands on the side of the PS and SDP, is a problem that the ERC must solve. If they want to persecute people and persecute parties, do not hesitate. Follow this path,” he said. answered.

The ERC announced this Friday that it has “started an investigation” into a survey published by Chega in its newspaper Folha Nacional, carried out by a Brazilian company not accredited by the regulator, an official source confirmed to Lusa.

Despite denying any connection to the study, Ventura said Intercampus, the company that carried out the field work, will register it with the ERC this Friday.

Chega published on Thursday in its official newspaper Folha Nacional a survey conducted by Paraná Pesquisas, a company not accredited in Portugal.

According to data updated on February 16 on the ERC website, there are currently 13 organizations accredited to conduct research.

Among them are Aximage; Domp – Organizational Development Marketing; Duplimetric; Consulmark 2, Marketing Research and Field Work; and Institute of Social Sciences/Higher Institute of Labor and Business.

It also includes Intercampus; o Ipom – Institute for Public Opinion and Market Research; Marktest, Marketing; Metris; and Multidados.
