The President of the Liberal Initiative (IL), Rui Rocha, this Thursday asked the Portuguese to give on March 10 a clear majority for IL and AD, “the table in which the solutions are found” for the country.
“I turn to the Portuguese and want to say that at the negotiating table where decisions are made, a clear majority is needed. “I also have a responsibility to tell the Portuguese that the change the country needs will be greater the stronger the vote for IL,” the parliamentarian said. the liberal leader at the end of a visit to the Navigator restaurant in Setúbal, which was closed to journalists.
Giving an example of tables, Rui Rocha emphasized that at the moment there is only one table capable of making the changes the country needs – the table at which the IL and AD sit.
“There is a table where two parties or a coalition and one party sit, and this coalition must recognize that transformation is necessary and will happen from March 10,” he emphasized.
However, he emphasized, in this table between IL and AD there are two speeds of change: the speed of IL, which wants serious changes in the country, and the modest speed of AD.
Hence the importance and necessity of voting for IL, he urged.
“There is a left table that will bring the same thing or even worse, because it will probably be influenced by radical parties that will bring to Portugal even worse policies than the one we had. And there is also a table at which only one party sits, no. another one, if he sits down, then this is not a solution, because it delays and blocks the country and ultimately consists of voting for the PS,” he insisted.
