More than 200,000 voters pre-registered for mobile voting on Sunday, a week before legislative elections, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) said this Friday.
“The number of people registered for early mobile voting for the 2024 legislative elections totaled 208,007 registered voters nationwide,” the MAI said in a statement.
Registered voters nationwide had until Thursday to vote mobile next Sunday, a week before legislative elections scheduled for March 10.
The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, announced that he will vote in advance on Sunday, a week before legislative elections in which more than 10.8 million Portuguese are called to vote to choose 230 deputies.
18 political forces, 15 parties and three coalitions are participating in the elections.
