BE accuses “Bolsonaro disciple” Ventura of talking about non-existent conditioning

This Monday, the coordinator of the bloc criticized the statements of Andre Ventura “disciple of Bolsonaro” about the “illusions of conditionality” of the elections, assuring that the BE had already resolved the “bad joke” on social networks before the arrival of Chegi.

Mariana Mortagua was in Setúbal this morning to denounce the “sea of cement” that Troy has become after being questioned on board the boat on which she made the trip over the controversy last night involving a BE activist when she stated on social media that he prepares to cancel the votes for Chega.

“To me they sound like statements from a Bolsonaro disciple about supposed illusions of conditioning that don’t exist,” he began by answering.

According to the Bloc leader, “There was a member of the Bloc de Esquerda who made a bad joke and so he was immediately contacted and asked to remove the bad joke from social media.”

“He was contacted and asked to request an exemption from participating in the voting tables, to which he agreed. This request has already been made, it has already been answered, and the matter is closed,” he emphasized.

Mortagua also rejected the claim that BE’s actions were the result of a denunciation by President Chega, since, according to the bloc leader, when Andre Ventura made his statements the day before, “the resignation had already been submitted.”

The request has already been answered, so this element will no longer be at the election table, he also assured.

“Portugal needs democratic debate, debate on proposals, clear and calm debate, not these suspicions that are thrown into the air without reason and without any justification. The CNE has to do his job and some of his job. It is also about reassuring people about Bolsonaro’s disciples who come to Portugal to question free elections, which are always organized and are a great moment for democracy,” he said.

The BE leader accused the far right of “raising suspicion of democratic processes” without any “concern, problem or humility”, citing the examples of Bolsonaro in Brazil or Trump in the United States.

“They have problems with democratic processes, they don’t like them, they don’t respect them and therefore they believe that they can raise suspicions,” he condemned.

The blocker promised to “protect the elections in Portugal”, guaranteeing that the party will be present at this election event to confirm that it “always runs as smoothly as possible and that’s how it should be.”

“I will do everything and the Bloc’s contribution to this campaign is to ensure that this is a campaign to raise political debates and proposals,” he assured, assuring that “the electoral process is not being questioned and nothing should be done to inform the Portuguese that is.”

On Sunday evening, the official BE source, already in statements to Lusa, condemned the “bad joke” of this party member who will be present at the polling stations in Aveiro.

This response followed a complaint filed on Sunday evening by Chega President Andre Ventura, who showed a post by a man he identified as a BE member that he was preparing to invalidate the votes for Chega and AD.

More than 10.8 million Portuguese are called to vote on Sunday to elect 230 members of the Assembly of the Republic.

18 political forces, 15 parties and three coalitions are competing in these elections.
