This Monday, the general secretary of the PKP staged a vote in the legislative elections between those who want to dismantle and those who want to save the National Health Service (NHS), ensuring that only the CDU will guarantee public health.
During an election campaign at the Santo Tirso hospital, which was supported by about fifty people, Paulo Raimundo defended the construction of a new hospital to help the local population, citing the situation as an example of the need for greater investment in health care.
“What will be decided on March 10 is not a bipolarization between PS and PSD. The real bipolarity is between those who think the faster or slower way is to dismantle social media, or those who they think are the solution for users.” and professionals means a stronger NHS with more resources to provide the necessary response,” he said.
Unsparing in his criticism of the “disease treatment business” he attributes to the private sector, the communist leader pointed to the “paradox” in the emergence of more private hospitals in recent years.
“Private hospitals are mushrooming everywhere, growing exponentially in recent years. And what is the paradox? The more private hospitals open, the more difficult it is for the population to access medical care. When you vote, you will have to decide Which option: dismantle it or preserve the SNS, providing it with the necessary tools? “, he strengthened.
Accompanied by the head of the list of the HDZ of the district of Porto, Alfredo Maia, who also criticized the lack of response from the PS in this sector, the Secretary General of the PCP highlighted three main problems in the SNA, namely the lack of professionals, which linked this to the need for greater valorization; recognition of greater autonomy for health services; and the importance of moving forward with increased investment in people and resources.
“We talk about the NHS and the question is always the same: how much does it cost? The question is: How much does it cost to leave people without access to basic health care? This is a disaster for the country and it will not continue with us,” he stressed, as part of an election rally held in the area, where some Democratic Alliance (AD) supporters were also seen driving nearby, as well as cars with sound systems calling for vote for Chega and RiR.
Paulo Raimundo even started with health to show the way for undecided voters: “If you think about this issue, your life will become easier and there will be no need to remain indecisive. Let’s overcome the indecisiveness and give the vote to the CDU, that is, the vote to force the SNS to give the necessary answer.”
This Monday, the communist leader focused on health care, but at the beginning of the initiative, a woman approached him precisely to demand a word about pensions.
Almost without allowing Raimundo to speak, he left a warning. “I will be watching closely to see if he talks about decriminalization reforms.
