The Democratic Alliance (AD) campaign took place in Bragança this Monday, where PSD President Luis Montenegro promised more economy, employment, health, education, housing and more remuneration for those who work.
During a short visit to the capital of this district, Luis Montenegro strolled along Almirante Reis Street, accompanied by CDS-PP President Nuno Melo and dozens of AD supporters to the sounds of songs performed by young activists of both parties and a group of bagpipers from Rio D’Onor.
In this street action, which began nearly 40 minutes late, the delegation walked about 270 meters to Praça da Se square, where the PSD chairman again climbed onto a street bench to say a few words into a microphone that echoed down the column.
“We have four more days of election campaign. And on the 10th, next Sunday, we will have the opportunity to change the future of our country. I want to count on everyone until Sunday to give everything we have, until the last second, to bring as many people as possible to vote so that we can win and, based on the direct trust of the people, we can govern Portugal.” he called.
Luis Montenegro said AD would provide “the answer to what is most important in people’s lives: more economy, more jobs, more healthcare, more education, more housing and opportunities for everyone in Portugal.”
“We are going to stop the flight of our youth abroad, we are going to give more wages to those who work, and we are going to guarantee pensioners and retirees that they will have the well-being and dignity of a happy life, an active life with their children and grandchildren,” he added. He.
The former secretary general of the PSD, José Silvano, joined this action of the AD campaign in Bragança, where the head of the list of the PSD/CDU-PP/PPM coalition in that district, Hernán Díaz, was also present.
This was AD’s second initiative in the district during the official campaign, following the street action in Mirandela on 25 February.
The coalition delegation went to a rally in Macedo de Cavaleiros, also in the constituency of Bragança, where three deputies are elected and where the PSD lost a second PS in 2022 by half a dozen votes.
