BE coordinator Mariana Mortagua addressed this Wednesday directly to undecided voters to commit that the blocker vote will be given to a left-wing majority that will “transform the country” with decisions on housing, health care and wages.
Accompanied by her two predecessors in the leadership of BE, Catarina Martins and Francisco Luzana, Mariana Mortagua this Wednesday held a rally in Rua de Santa Catarina in Porto, in which she received the support of many people who crossed paths with her, with many requests in a photograph or “selfie”.
The BE coordinator made a call to vote and asked that people exercise their rights on Sunday, be it women, workers or pensioners.
“Here I want to declare my commitment to all the people who have not yet decided, to all the people who still do not know who to vote for, and this commitment is that a vote for the Bloc is a vote for the majority that The country will change, the majority is with the left, the majority is for lowering housing prices, improving the conditions of the social sphere, education, wages,” he said.
In her first and most direct address to those still undecided, Mariana Mortagua made this promise to “all the people of this country.”
“So many women, so many men, who join the Bloc campaign because they believe that it is possible to change the country, that it is possible to have a project of hope. It fills me with joy and it’s nice to see a campaign that progresses every time and every day that passes brings so many people and so much energy together,” he said.
Believing she didn’t expect so many people to receive her this way on one of Porto’s most important streets, the BE leader insisted the campaign was “growing every day”.
“All this power comes for a reason: because it believes, because it knows that we have obligations to the country, it remembers the years of the absolute majority and knows that it is the power of the Bloc that makes up the majority and what matters in measures, that matter,” he emphasized.
Regarding the presence of Francisco Luzana and Catarina Martins, who were present in some of the electoral rallies, Mortagua considered that “this is the miracle of the Bloc de Esquerda,” which he said is “a collective project in which everyone comes together.”
“The opportunity to have Catarina, Francisco, but also Marisa, José Soeira, Isabel Pires. There are so many people who do Block every day and who are now gathering here for this campaign. This is a great blessing, besides all these people we find here. today,” he noted.
