The Dutch Deputy Prime Minister has expressed his support for Liberal Initiative (IL) President Rui Rocha, saying liberalism works and can bring Portugal a stronger, more sustainable future. Rob Jetten argued that liberalism could make Portugal stronger through sound fiscal policies that increase the competitiveness of the Portuguese economy, as well as an accessible and quality healthcare system.
Rui Rocha confirmed that IL will be part of the government decision. “I’m not going to appeal to Luis Montenegro, we represent [ao PSD] 10 tasks to transform Portugal. We put these 10 challenges on the table and show how important it is that IL is included on March 10th in addressing the real transformation of Portugal. Only IL has such strength, capabilities, ambition and courage,” he added after a meeting at the Braga Business Association.
