Find out who the three youngest legislators in this legislature are

Madalena Simões Cordeiro, Eva Bras Pinho and Rita Matias are the three youngest deputies of this legislative body. Madalena Cordeiro, 20, originally from Vila Viçosa, studied law at the Catholic University of Portugal. She was elected from the Lisbon constituency and is also a member of the national leadership of Juventude Chega.

Rita Mathias, also an MP for André Ventura’s party, was first elected at the age of 22 in the 2022 legislative elections. Now, at the age of 25, she is again an MP elected for Setúbal. He is a graduate of Political Science from ISCTE and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FCSH).

Eva Pinho, 24, was elected in the Lisbon constituency by the Democratic Alliance. She holds a law degree from the Portuguese Catholic University and a master’s degree in transnational law. The young woman has also been the municipal deputy of Cascais since 2021 and has worked as a trainee lawyer at Morais Leitão since September 2022.

The Democratic Alliance (AD) was the coalition with the most votes at the time of victory. legislative elections with a slight advantage over the Socialist Party. AD has 79 deputies elected to parliament.

Chega declared his victory in the Algarve legislature with a remarkable result, sparking an electoral revolution and leaving a large parliamentary group of 48 deputies elected to the Assembly of the Republic.

On Sunday evening, 230 MPs were elected, 79 from the Democratic Alliance, 77 from the Socialist Party and 48 from Chegi.
