This Friday, three people were injured, one seriously, in an accident between a truck and a car that blocked traffic on the IC2 highway near Moncalva, Pombal, in both directions.
According to the Sub-Regional Command of the Leiria Region, the accident occurred at around 3:15 am this Friday and at 6:30 am traffic was still blocked as a heavy vehicle carrying drinks dumped its load on the road.
The injured were taken to hospital in Leiria, the district where the accident occurred.
According to the same source, traffic is carried out on the road parallel to the MK until the road is cleared.
There were 20 first responders at the scene, supported by eight fire engines from Pombal, GNR and INEM. By 6:15 the number of media outlets had already diminished.
