Brazilian President Lula da Silva said this Friday that the “angry far right” is putting democracy at risk, citing his predecessor Jair Bolsonaro and the current head of state of Argentina, Javier Miley, as examples.
“What is under threat in the world is democracy. It is under threat from fascism, it is under threat from Nazism, it is under threat from the evil, ignorant, violent far right, who insult people who do not believe in people,” said the head of the state of Brazil during a review of the actions federal government in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
“This is Miley in Argentina. He wants to close the Central Bank, use a saw. This is Bolsonaro here,” he emphasized, adding that “to this day he does not admit his defeat” in the presidential elections in October 2022.
