Russian citizens in Portugal vote this Sunday at the Russian Embassy in Lisbon. A CMTV been there and there are lines to cast your vote and the process can take a few minutes.
Mostly from midday, when the international movement protesting President Putin invited Russians to vote, many Russians joined the queue of voters that filled part of Calzada de Arroyos as well as Rua Ponta Delgada, located near the Russian embassy.
Voters, many accompanied by children and infants, slowly enter the embassy building, which is protected by bars and a heavy police presence.
To avoid possible tension, the police were reinforced.
Since Friday, people in Russia have been going to the polls to choose the country’s future president. Voting for position will be current Russian President Vladimir Putin, Leonid Slutsky from the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), Nikolai Zharitonov from the Communist Party of Russia (CPRF) and Vladislav Davankov from New People.
