The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, this Saturday condemned Friday’s terrorist attack in Moscow, expressing alarm at the “heinous attack on civilians” that left more than 140 people dead.
A note published on the website of the President of the Republic states that the head of state “expressed deep regret and horror upon learning of the monstrous terrorist attack against civilians in Crocus City Hall in Moscow.”
“President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa strongly condemns this heinous act and expresses his sincere and deep condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the hundreds of injured,” the note said, adding that “the violence against innocent civilians is intolerable and unjustifiable.”
