Milan are fighting to sign Ghiokeres and are counting on Ibrahimovic’s support to convince the striker to leave Sporting.
The interest was reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, which reports that the Milanese are considering submitting an offer for the player in the summer. The Swede convinced the Italian club that he was the best attacking option. Additionally, according to the same news, Milan believe they can keep the player for less than his €100 million release clause.
Milan, who used Swede Ibrahimovic in negotiations, believe Ghiokeres’ desire to go to Italy could allow a deal worth around €50 million to be struck. In addition to the Swedish striker, the Italians also mentioned Zirkze (Bologna), Cesco (Leipzig) and Santiago Jimenez (Feyenoord).
Jokeres is still coveted by Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham.
To ensure the most likely departure of their scorer, the Lions are looking for a striker with identical characteristics. One of the names on Leo’s agenda is the Greek Ioannidis (Panathinaikos). The initial cost of negotiations is approximately 15 million euros. Ioannidis is 24 years old and his contract runs until 2027. Transfermarkt estimates his value at 3.5 million euros. He has 20 goals and eight assists in 35 games this season.
