The young man, who was the target of threats on social networks from people who considered him one of the suspects in the death of 26-year-old Diogo Silva in Porto, went to the judicial police building on Monday. He moved of his own accord because his name was implicated in the murder. He presented alleged evidence that he was far from the city of Porto and left the joint venture building free.
“We turned to the judicial police because of all this pressure. As I said, my client has an alibi and was not in Porto on the day of the crime,” lawyer Nelson Souza explained to the CM.
The crime happened last Friday and police inspectors are still investigating the case. The perpetrator of the crime continues to hide. It is known for drug trafficking and violent attacks. There are even warrants for attempted murder in the area around Sao Tome, as well as in the city of Porto.
