A Belgian couple abandoned their young son at an airport check-in counter. Ben Gurion, Israel this Tuesday, for not wanting to pay for a child’s plane ticket. The couple were heading to Brussels, Belgium and missed their boarding.
According to British newspaper Independent, these parents did not agree to pay for the ticket and decided to leave the stroller at the counter so they could sit on their own. “The couple missed their flight after the check-in counters closed,” the airport said in a statement.
“We have never seen anything like this before. I couldn’t believe my eyes,” the airline employee said.
As soon as they were confronted with the situation, the airport authorities went looking for the parents for questioning.
