Young people don’t pay BMI when buying a house

The government wants young people under 35 to stop paying BMI and stamp duty when buying their own permanent home, and guarantee 100% finance when buying their first home.

In this case, the state will act as a guarantor, allowing the cost of the house to be fully covered, and in case of default, the state will repay the loan to the bank. These measures, included in the executive program, will serve to abolish the so-called “two down payments” paid when purchasing a home.

The program also highlights the “reversal of the wrong measures” of the More Housing package implemented by the socialist government, such as forced tenancy, rent freezes, as well as “measures to punish local housing”, such as emergency contributions from these businesses. or expiration of licenses.

There are plans to reduce VAT to 6% (the minimum rate) on construction, as well as a “reduction or elimination” of tax on urbanization or occupation, such as public-private partnerships for new homes or property regeneration.

The financial implications are not reflected in the document.
