The spokesman said the first meeting would serve to discuss themes for the European Council meeting on Wednesday and Thursday, which is expected to be dominated by rising tensions in the Middle East, exacerbated by the recent Iranian bombing of Israel. in response to an Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus (Syria).
The meeting will start at 14:00 local time (13:00 Lisbon time).
