Chegi parliament leader Pedro Pinto was re-elected on Tuesday to another two years as president of the college, winning only one white person out of 47 deputies who voted.
Pedro Pinto, whose first vice-president will be Rui Paulo Sousa, said that of the 50 deputies who make up the Chegi bench, three did not vote, either for reasons of political work or illness.
“This is a strong and dynamic team, combining experience and youth,” said bench leader Chegi, whose vice-presidents will also be MPs Rita Matias, Jorge Galveyas and Marta Silva.
In front of reporters, Pedro Pinto said that Chega will have two teams in parliament, one of which will be public relations, coordinated by MPs Bernardo Pessanha and Patricia Carvalho. Cristina Rodriguez will coordinate the work of the Chega technical committee.
Responding to the question that Bruno Nunez does not head the Chegi bench, Pedro Pinto said that the deputy will preside over the Territorial Cohesion Commission and that the logic of duplicating positions has been prevented.
Pedro Pinto also said that this decision was made by party president Andre Ventura.
