This Wednesday, the Lisbon City Council approved the PSD/CDS-PP proposal to increase the cost of the overnight tourist tax from two to four euros per night, which would allow the PS to be changed and campsites excluded.
The PSD/CDS-PP proposal would also update the tourist tax for arrivals by sea from one euro to two euros, although it is now proposed to update the value that began to apply this year by starting to charge cruise passengers the fee.
At a closed meeting of the municipal executive, the PSD/CDS-PP proposal was approved with the PCP abstaining and votes in favor of the remaining council members, namely the supporters of the PS, Livre, Cidadãos Por Lisboa (elected by the PS/Livre Coalition) and BE, according to a local source.
