This Friday, the government approved the Code of Conduct XXIV of the Constitutional Executive, a “self-regulatory instrument” designed to “promote greater responsibility, transparency, integrity and ethics in public administration.”
According to the statement of the Council of Ministers, which approved the new Code, “a number of innovations have been introduced compared to the previous Code in accordance with the recommendations of international organizations.”
“The scope of its application is expanding, a reporting channel and a risk prevention plan are being created, and changes that can be approved by the Assembly of the Republic are being formalized in the context of a dialogue on measures to combat corruption,” the message says. .
This Code was not described in detail at the press conference of the Council of Ministers, which today focused on cutting the IRS and was chaired by Prime Minister Luis Montenegro.
