Fuel price changes next week

Fuel prices will be mixed this week. While a liter of diesel fuel will become cheaper by 2.5 cents, a liter of gasoline will rise in price by one cent.

Taking into account the average values published by the Directorate General of Energy and Geology (DGEG), a liter of simple diesel should rise to 1,607 euros, and simple 95 gasoline will cost 1,820 euros per liter.

Despite the escalating conflict in the Middle East, especially tensions between Israel and Iran, the price of Brent oil, which serves as a benchmark for the European market, fell slightly this Friday (0.57%) to $86.61 per barrel. after increasing by 4% in the morning, when news of Israel’s attack on Iran became known. As markets realized Iran had no intention of retaliating, prices fell again, particularly in futures, heading for a weekly loss of 2.63%, with a barrel priced below $90 (87) for most of the week. As such, global markets are bracing for a third straight weekly decline as refineries cut production rates.
