The Government will, over the next two months, evaluate the proposals presented to the Minister of Health this Monday by professional orders that demonstrated concerns about care from the National Health Service (NHS), the Minister said this Monday.
“All the proposals that formally came to us will now be evaluated one by one over the next two months, because some of them depend not only on the Ministry of Health, but also on the government as a whole,” Ana Paula Martins told reporters after reading the instructions of doctors, nurses and pharmacists.
According to a government spokesman, all orders relate to the response from the SNS.
“Concerned because they feel there is a need to provide a better response, despite the very intense reaction from social media. Every day there are many consultations, many operations, many interventions, but in fact, as we all know, there are waiting lists and, naturally, professionals are primarily interested in being able to respond to their patients,” he said.
This Monday, the Ministry of Health team began a series of meetings with professional industry associations, and the week also marked the start of negotiations with trade unions.
