José Manuel Bolheiro emphasized that freedom “is a constant learning that requires responsible behavior” and “where we must be an example of what we stand for, cultivating humanistic values such as equality, fraternity and human dignity.”
“Celebrating 50 years of freedom and democracy also means renewing our commitment to the dreams and aspirations of the Azorean people, ensuring that our autonomy is preserved, deepened and strengthened for future generations, thereby paying tribute to those who came before us,” he stressed.
