The request submitted by the Pinto da Costa list led to a slight delay in the start of voting

The future of Porto has already been decided. Polling stations have already opened to vote for the next president of the club. Until 20:00 at the Estádio do Dragão stadium, members will be able to choose the candidate they prefer to see lead for the four-year period 2024-2028. The results will be known after 22:00 this Saturday.

Businessman and professor Nuno Lobo (list C) is running again for the presidency of FC Porto (A), four years after becoming the third and final candidate with the most votes, while former coach Andre Villas-Boas (B), who won four trophies for the Blaugrana in the 2010/11 season, including the league title and the Europa League, is making his first election appearance and has established himself as the main face of the opposition.

These three lists compete for the leadership, the Council of the General Assembly and the Financial and Disciplinary Council, with Nuno Lobo withdrawing from the elections to the Supreme Council, which again includes an autonomous movement led by the lawyer and professor Miguel Bras da Cunha (D).

The request submitted by the Pinto da Costa list led to a slight delay in the start of voting

The half-hour delay in the start of the electoral process for the presidency of FC Porto was caused by a request from List A, led by Pinto da Costa, to replace some elements on the voting table.

“We submitted an application indicating a deadline to replace the elements of the table, since the people who came were unable to attend for health reasons or family reasons. It was a request for a replacement and it was granted,” explained Miguel Corte Real.
