The Minister of Health, Ana Paula Martins, this Sunday in Porto, suggested the need to take different measures regarding pediatric emergency care next summer.
In statements on the occasion of the opening of the retraining of the Emergency Gynecology/Obstetrics Service of the local health department of São João on the occasion of Mother’s Day and International Day of Midwifery, the Minister highlighted the challenges of response in the field of pediatric emergency care.
“As early as this summer we should be able to have different responses and this is what the government considers a top priority, in addition to the Emergency Plan which also responds to other things. We don’t want them to continue to be in Lisbon. both in the Tagus Valley and in the Setúbal peninsula there are our pregnant women who do not know where they can go to give birth,” the minister said.
