Selector Roberto Martinez will publish on May 21 the final list of players called up for the final stage of Euro 2024, which will take place in June and July in Germany, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) announced this Monday.
According to a message published on the organization’s official website, Martinez’s selection will be announced at 13:00 at the Cidade do Futebol in Oeiras.
The final list will include 26 players after UEFA last week allowed three more spots to be included on top of the original 23.
At Euro 2024, Portugal will compete in Group F along with the Czech Republic (18 June in Leipzig), Turkey (22 in Dortmund) and Georgia (26 in Gelsenkirchen).
Before leaving for German soil, the team will play three preparatory games against Finland (June 4, at the José Alvalade Stadium), Croatia (June 8, at the National Stadium) and Ireland (June 11, in Aveiro).
In the same note, the FPF did not name the date for the start of the preparation phase for the next European Championship, for which Portugal qualified only thanks to victories.
Euro 2024 will take place from June 14 to July 14.
