The series of six debates will conclude on TVI on May 24 with the participation of PS, AD, Bloco de Esquerda and PAN.
On Wednesday, the PS adopted a new model proposed by the broadcasters, which calls for six debates with four parties, as it is most feasible, guarantees “greater fairness” and avoids “legal and political disputes.”
The Socialists accepted a proposal to hold six debates with four parties on three universal television channels on May 28, to which will be added debates on the RTP with the participation of eight heads of lists from all party forces with parliamentary representation.
According to the public station, the RTP will hold another debate on May 30 with nine candidates from other parties who do not have parliamentary representation.
On June 3 there will be a radio debate from 9:30 to 11:30, bringing together Antena 1, Rádio Renascença (RR), Rádio Observador and TSF.
The debate will be moderated by Natalia Carvalho (Antena 1), Ricardo Alexandre (TSF), Susana Madureira Martins (RR) and Ruy Pedro Antunes (observer).
