Pedro Fidalgo Márquez, head of the PAN list in the European elections, gave an interview to CMTV this Monday and said that the party is based on three pillars: animals, people and nature, being a party “purely animalistic” and “based on the balance that the world needs.”
“Probably in 20-30 years people will not have the opportunity to know what an Iberian wolf or imperial wolf is, we need to preserve the environment and the well-being of people,” says Pedro Marques.
Regarding emigration, the head of the list states that it is necessary to “distinguish between emigration and people seeking exile,” adding that it is an issue that needs to be “regulated and worked on.”
“We have to work on integration. Fundão, for example, saved the region, but did not forget about the people.” He explains that migrants make a positive contribution to the economy and there is no point in “uniting in words of hatred and fear when experience does not tell us so.”
On defense, Pedro Márquez says PAN is a party that calls for peace and advocates “a quick response from the multinationals and that they will arrive on the scene in a few days.”
On housing, the leader of the list says the Portuguese cannot “be hostage to interest rates” and that it is necessary to “invest in affordable public housing policies.”
