The Secretary General of the PS accused the government this Wednesday of presenting not a health emergency plan, but rather a “Power Point” with measures describing the current work of the SNS, considering it a “deep disappointment”.
“Neither I nor any Portuguese have heard of any plan. What was presented was a “Power Point” with a set of measures that describe what is already the daily work of SNS today. SNS has no vision or reform, but we have We will have to wait until we see the plan,” Pedro Nuno Santos answered reporters at the end of the European Championship campaign in Portimão, Faro.
According to the PS leader, this “Power Point” “does not inspire much confidence in changing Social Networks.”
“We will not have any parties because of the ‘power point’, which does not really bring anything extraordinary, which gives us hope for what this government will do in the SNC,” he said.
For Pedro Nuno Santos, the presentation of this health emergency plan “was even a disappointment,” since there was “a big promise to present in 60 days a plan to respond to a problem that worries the Portuguese,” and then “What is a “list of measures, a big part of which is the work that SNS does every day.”
“This is a deep disappointment,” he concluded.
The Prime Minister announced this Wednesday that the emergency health program intends to stretch the resources of the National Health Service (SNS) to the limit, but also draws on the social and private sectors, complementing each other.
“This health emergency and transformation plan will exhaust to the limit the potential of the state, whether in the use of human resources or in the use of all health facilities,” said Luis Montenegro, presenting the measures for the sector approved this Wednesday by the Council of Ministers.
