“My absolute commitment is to transparency and the rule of law in the Ministry of Defense, it cannot be any other way,” Nuno Melo told Lusa and TVI/CNN on the sidelines of a visit to an Air Force F-16 squadron. stationed at the Siauliai base in Lithuania, due to the news published this Thursday in the Diário de Notícias, which reports on 30 inspections already opened within the ministry under his leadership.
Nuno Melo announced on Saturday a review of all commercial and industrial licenses for military goods and technology issued by the Ministry of Defense since 2015, after identifying possible irregularities in the process.
