Yesterday morning, four people were injured in a violent two-vehicle collision in Guimarães. A man and woman, aged 21 and 20, were seriously injured. They were taken to hospitals in Braga and Guimarães. Two other women suffered minor injuries.
The accident happened just before midnight on Rua do Muril in Candoso São Martinho. About two dozen Guimarães firefighters were at the scene, supported by two medical teams from ambulances and intensive care units from hospitals in Guimarães and Braga, as well as PSP.
The circumstances of the incident, which resulted in traffic disruption for more than an hour and a half, remain to be determined. The four victims are passengers in two cars. Among them are three women and one man aged from 20 to 40 years.
