Carmo Wood, a wood market company located in Pegoines, was completely engulfed in flames on Saturday morning. To carry out the work, it was necessary to mobilize seven fire brigades numbering more than 50 people and 20 pieces of equipment.
The alarm was raised around 4:20 am and the fire was brought under control by 8:30 am. Thanks to some videos that made it to the newsroom CM It was possible to verify that a large fire was visible from several places.
Despite the availability of equipment and the need for large amounts of resources, there were no employees within the company and therefore no injuries were reported. Long hours of cleanup work are now expected.
For what CM It was determined that the business was located in an isolated area and no other homes were at risk.
Fire brigades were called to the theater of operations: Caña, Aguas de Moura, Pinhal Novo, Sul and Sueste, Moita, Seixal and Almada.
The causes of the fire are already being investigated.
