A 31-year-old woman died early Wednesday morning after her 29-year-old husband attacked and strangled her at home on Rua Raul Rego in Lisbon.
The attacks took place around 3 am during an argument between the couple. The warning came two hours later, at about 5 o’clock in the morning. The victim eventually became inanimate and was taken by INEM to Santa Maria Hospital in a very critical condition. As a result, the woman died from her injuries, and the hospital pronounced her dead three minutes after the arrival of the victim.
The suspect, after attacking his comrade, called a family member and then alerted the police. When the PSP arrived at the home where the attacks took place, it detained the man, who will stand trial this Wednesday.
