The head of the Liberal Initiative list in the European Parliament this Wednesday accused former BE coordinator Francisco Luzana of being a “specialist in dirty politics”, after the blocker criticized the choice of book he “suggested” to Katarina Martins.
“I realized that it was a speech against dirty politics. They chose the right person for this, because indeed in Portugal there are experts in dirty politics, and Francisco Luzão is one of them, and also the mastermind of the Bloc,” accused João Cotrim de Figueiredo at the end of a visit to the Famalican fair in the Braga area.
At the heart of this controversy is economist Milton Friedman’s book Capitalism and Freedom, which Cotrim de Figueiredo suggested reading to the head of the BE list for Europeans, Catarina Martins.
