This Friday, the Secretary of State for Mobility, Cristina Díaz, declared to the Lusa agency her full readiness to listen in the Assembly of the Republic to information about the compensation she received from the CP in 2015, when she left for the Office of Mobility and Transport.
In a written statement sent to the Lusa news agency, the secretary of state said she was “ready to go to the Assembly of the Republic to give deputies any clarification they deem necessary.”
“I will be happy to clarify any doubts or ambiguities that may still exist and which MPs consider useful. I myself am interested in this issue being clarified once and for all. In fact, I have never refused any clarification on this issue whenever I have been asked,” the Secretary of State said.
These statements came after the PS submitted to Parliament a request that Cristina Diaz be heard as part of her departure from CP to AMT, given the lack of transparency in the compensation process of the then administrator of the state-owned railway company.
João Torres, vice-president of the PS parliamentary group, said this morning that the change “is a green way to move from CP to AMT with compensation of approximately 79 thousand euros, which addresses a complex of issues of a political and ethical nature.” and legal issues that need to be clarified.”
The newspaper Correio da Manhã reported on April 19 that Cristina Pinto Dias, the current Secretary of State for Mobility, left CP in July 2015 with compensation of about 80,000 euros and later worked as AMT administrator at the invitation of PSD/CDS. – PP government, salary and entertainment expenses amount to about 13,440 euros per month, almost double the 7,210 euros she received at CP.
Over the past few weeks, several figures have provided clarifications in Parliament. The former director of the railway equipment maintenance company, Francisco Fortunato, believed that the €80,000 compensation paid by CP to the current Secretary of State for Mobility was not respected and that the process was detrimental to the public interest.
Former PP President Manuel Cairo denied that he knew in advance about the departure of then-administrator and current Secretary of State Cristina Díaz to the AMT.
Former Secretary of State Sergio Monteiro denied that he knew about the compensation paid to former KP administrator and current Secretary of State Cristina Dias, and assured that there was no approval on his part.
He also ensured that Christina Diaz was not aware of the salary she was going to receive at AMT when she asked to leave CP CP and denied “individual claims” for compensation.
