The PSD President said this Wednesday that he “totally” shares the concerns of the President of the Republic regarding the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa said in the morning that the implementation of the PRR should be accelerated and announced that he would receive Prime Minister António Costa next week to review the situation.
“It is true that the President of the Republic, we must acknowledge him, was very demanding and repeated in the warning he gave to the government that the PRR is being implemented very slowly and that the consequences of these many millions of euros, amounting to 18.2 billion euros, do not reach real economy. And I can only say that I fully share this concern of the President of the Republic. We ourselves also warned about this situation,” said Luis Montenegro.
The PSD leader spoke to reporters in Gouveia, where he visited Casais de Folgosinho, an area affected by the Serra da Estrela fires, in the parish of Folgozinho, Gouveia Municipality, Guarda District, as part of the “Sentir Portugal” initiative.
