The Prime Minister and PSD leader said this Friday that he is confident that the Portuguese will recognize AD’s efforts and provide the coalition with a “substantial victory” in Europe.
Luis Montenegro, speaking traditionally from Chiado, said it had been an “impressive campaign” and that “this effort, this positive commitment to the country will be recognized next Sunday.”
AD European Championship candidate Sebastian Bugalho said it was an honor for the “28-year-old Portuguese” to defend “the Portuguese in Europe and try to convey to the Portuguese the ideals of Europe.”
Bugallo spoke to journalists together with Luis Montenegro, who even held the journalists’ microphones to facilitate the statements of the head of the coalition list.
The candidate, highlighting the message of the PSD leader, said that he was moved by the mobilization of the coalition in this campaign and said that he had “the trust of all Portuguese men and women of the 9th.”
“We feel more and more that the 9th will be a good day for AD, a good day for Portugal and a good day for Europe,” he said.
Next to the head of the AD list today on the traditional descent of Chiado were the leaders of the PSD and SDS-PP Luis Montenegro and Nuno Melo, as well as the ministers of education and youth.
Former PSD leader Manuela Ferreira Leite also joined this election campaign and left a few words of support for the AD candidate, praising the fact that the choice fell on a young name, since the problems of Europe “are the problems of the future.” “
“In half a dozen years, we will in no way be discussing the issues that are being discussed now,” he said.
Assunção Christas, a former SDS leader, was also in Chiado and left words of praise for Bugalho, hoping the campaign would be “extremely successful.”
The descent along a route of about 750 meters lasted about half an hour and ended with a rally at Arco da Rua Augusta, at which the leaders of the AD party and the head of the list spoke.
