The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, visited the 60th National Agricultural Fair (FNA) in Santarem this Saturday, highlighting the importance of this event for “Portuguese agriculture” and for farmers.
[A feira] “This means a lot for Portugal, for Portuguese agriculture, for Portuguese natural resources, for our biodiversity, for our native breeds, for the work of farmers, for what is a fundamental component of the wealth of our country,” the head of state said.
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will visit the fair again next Thursday, June 13, together with Prime Minister Luis Montenegro, Agriculture Minister José Manuel Fernandez and Environment and Energy Minister Maria Graça Carvalho.
