The environmental advocacy nucleus (NPA) of GNR de Fafe has identified a 77-year-old woman due to a forest fire in this municipality in the district of Braga, authorities said this Thursday.
A statement sent to Lusa said that “in the context of the investigation into the forest fire that broke out on February 4, NPA officials determined that the fire was the result of a fire carried out to clear agricultural land that had gone out of control, swallowing about eight hectares of oak , in the so-called Carvalhal de Fafe spot.”
It is also indicated that, following police action, the identity of the 77-year-old woman responsible for the arson was identified and the facts were turned over to the Fafe Judicial Court.
