Marco Silva’s Fulham want to sign Sporting Lisbon player

Fulham, under the leadership of Marco Silva, is ready to use the money from the sale of Paligna (Bayern Munich is leading the list of contenders) to acquire Sporting player Morten Julman, the English press reported on Wednesday.

Marco Silva, a coach formerly at Sporting, sees Danish midfielder Julman as a player whose characteristics are identical to the Portuguese international. The Lions have already stated that they intend to sell the midfielder for the 80 million euros specified in the buyout clause. It’s a big sum, but it doesn’t seem to frighten Fulham. However, it is possible to negotiate a lower cost and partial payment depending on the achievement of goals.

Fulham are therefore on the verge of losing 28-year-old Portugal international Palinha as German pursuit of Bayern Munich intensifies, with the latest offer of around €45 million. The figure is still below the €60 million requested for Palinha to make the jump to the Bundesliga as the Bavarian giant tries to reclaim the title it lost to surprise B. Leverkusen.

Marco Silva is revolutionizing the Fulham team and has already announced the departure of 11 players. The aim is to make investments that will allow the team to improve on the 13th place they achieved in the Premier League this season. Hence the desire to compensate for Paligna’s departure with a player with identical characteristics.

In addition to Marco Silva’s team, Manchester United are also interested in the 24-year-old Dane. The Red Devils see Julmand as a long-term successor to Brazilian Casemiro.

Julmand joined Sporting this season from Italian side Lecce in exchange for 18 million euros (plus three million in goals). It didn’t take long for the midfielder to establish himself in Ruben Amorim’s team and play an active role in Sporting’s domestic title success.

The Dane took part in 49 matches, scoring four goals and making four assists. The Lions’ good performances have led to Jylmand being called up to his team for the European Championships, which start on Friday in Germany. If the campaign goes well, midfielder Leo could increase his stock and fan base.

Sporting look set to lose Jylmand as they bring back midfielder Mateus Fernandes, who was on loan at Estoril. The line-up also includes Morita (he is about to be extended), Daniel Braganza and Koba Coindredi.

Closing the gap was discussed at the General Assembly
The closure of the José Alvalade arena (another 10,000 seats could be provided) is due to be discussed at the general assembly at the end of the month.

Morita: “Thank you for your support”

“Thank you again everyone for your warm support. I’ll rest well and try again. Hiroshima is a good city,” the Japanese Sporting midfielder wrote before going on vacation. The 29-year-old came on as a substitute in the 5-0 rout against Syria and started in the 5-0 win over Myanmar.

Gyokeres at eleven
Striker Giokeres, recovering from left knee surgery in Stockholm (Sweden), was selected eleventh of the year in the Portuguese league.

Bruno praises Ruben Amorim
“I think Ruben Amorim is ready to go to England, but I heard President Varandas say he will stay for the new season. On the one hand I am very happy because it is a sign that Sporting will continue to be competitive and strong. ” said Bruno Fernandes, a midfielder who left Sporting for Manchester United and is now with the Seleção.
